Pictures of Fudge during the process

Bring sour cream, butter and sugar together.  Boil 5 minutes.

Add the marshmallows, then the chocolate.

Mix everything together, stirring until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted.  Add nuts and vanilla at the end.  Pour into a greased pan.  I made a half batch, so I poured it into an 8 X 8 inch pan.

This is the finished product.  Cut into desired pieces.  Enjoy!

Sour Cream Fudge

I can't believe that I haven't shared my fudge recipe before!  At Christmas, we make several batches and deliver them to neighbors and friends.\

I was in a cake club several years ago, and this recipe was in a book we had printed to raise funds.

Sour Cream Fudge

4 cups sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 cups sour cream (1 pint)

2 pounds white chocolate bark, or coating (I use semi-sweet chocolate or dark chocolate or a variety of different chocolates)

7 oz marshmallow creme, or 7 oz mini marshmallows

2 cups toasted, chopped nuts

1 tablespoon vanilla

In a large saucepan mix sugar, butter and sour cream.  Stir well and bring to a boil.  Boil for 5 minutes.  Remove from heat and add marshmallows and chocolate until melted.  Add vanilla and nuts, mixing well.  Pour into a buttered 9 X 13 inch pan.  Set until firm.

I've made white chocolate fudge with candied cherries and walnuts.  Dark mint chocolate fudge with mint chocolate from Hobby Lobby.  I like a mix of the semi-sweet chocolate chips with the milk chocolate chips, too.

If you are giving some away to people that can't have nuts, put some of the warm mixture into a greased pan before adding nuts to the rest of the fudge.

Enjoy!
