Email addresses

I got a gmail email address when they first came out.  Little did I know that there were SOOOOO many "J" names that wanted to use my account!  I have "subscribed" to lots of things I never want to see.

I get invoices from different businesses.  I usually print out the receipt (if it has "J's" address on it) and send it snail mail.  I also ask them to not use my email address.

One of my worst nightmares happened a couple of weeks ago.  Some 14 year old - skater dude used my email for HIS instagram account.  Guess what?  I don't want to see skater dudes.  I want to see my friends and family.

Since it's been quite a while, i got on HIS instragram - using my email - and changed his profile picture to:

I also wrote in the bio that I like to use other people's email accounts.

Surprise!  today i could actually get to my instagram account.  It was nice seeing all the faces and stories I've missed.

Oh, the lesson here - don't mess with an old lady - she might mess with you.

             Vacations

People at work were talking about vacations today.

One lady told me she never took her kids on a vacation. She was a single mom.  She didn't make much money.  Her ex didn't pay child support.

When my youngest daughter was about three months, we flew to California.  We did a lot of tourist-y things, but it seemed like we were the biggest attraction.  People stared - we had three kids, and we didn't see anyone with any kids.

When my middle son was about two, we went to Disneyland.  I don't remember a lot of the details because that was thirty six years ago.

Most of any other vacations were centered around the deer hunt.  I don't remember a vacation that didn't involve camping.  We still like camping or trailor-ing vacations.

My hubby and I have had a few staycations.  They are always fun.  We enjoy the hot tub, swimming and breakfast buffets.

I have been pressing for another vacation to Disneyland.  We are finally going to do it!  It will be a quick trip.  I'm hoping it will be a lot of fun and we will do something like this again.

Sometimes we just need to break out of the mold and do something different.
