A Little of this . . .and a Little of That

These are my fun Valentine's cookie recipes. I hope you try them sometime!
from Cookie Bouquet Book

1 lb. margarine, room temperature
3 c. granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tbl. vanilla (Mexican is best)
1 tbl. butter flavoring
7 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and flavorings and mix well. Stir in flour mixed with baking powder and salt. CHILL before using. Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.(This dough keeps well in a covered container in the fridge for a couple of weeks.)

GLAZE: 1 c. powdered sugar, 1 tbl. corn syrup, 2 tbl. water. Mix together and stir well every time you use it.

Jello Cookies

1 3 oz. pkg jello
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (or margarine)
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
Mix dry ingredients with shortening (like pie crust). Mix eggs one at a time.
Bake 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes.

CHOCOLATE VALENTINE COOKIES
1 c. sugar 1 c. margarine
1/4 c. milk 1 t. vanilla
1 egg 2 3/4 c. flour
½ c. unsweetened cocoa 3/4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. soda
Mix together. Chill one hour. Roll out to 1/8 inch and bake 350 degrees for 9-11 minutes.

Cinderella Cookies

½ c. shortening 1/4 c. milk
1 c. sugar 3 c. flour
2 eggs 1 t. vanilla
1 lg. tsp. baking powder


Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and flavorings and mix well. Stir in flour mixed with baking powder and salt. CHILL before using. Bake cookies at 350N for 8-10 minutes.


DECORATOR FROSTING
2 lbs. powdered sugar
2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. milk
1/3 t. vanilla and lemon or orange extract
dash salt
Beat together for 10 minutes. This will be light and fluffy.
